Aloha, I’m Joy,
And lifting burdens is my heart work. I am a certified End of Life Educator trained by A Sacred Passing and Final Passages. As a former hospice volunteer, client advisor for End of Life Washington, and an experienced OCOCA advocate, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my role as a guide during the final stage of life. I have been supporting Oahu residents since my relocation here in 2019, just in time for the passing of the Our Care Our Choice Act and I attended the first Medical Aid in Dying death here in Honolulu.
Along with being a proud resident of O'ahu, I am a reiki practitioner and UC Davis Alumna. With my diverse background and compassionate approach, I am here to support you and your loved ones through the end-of-life journey.

At Burden Lifters, we believe that everyone deserves a good death. Our mission revolves around offering end-of-life services to those who seek them. In line with this mission, we do not impose a set fee for our services. Instead, we offer guidelines based on current rate scales and kindly request that clients contribute what they believe our services are warranted, without creating additional financial hardship.
